I'm getting active to support those with cerebral palsy!

For those who have experienced sleep
Paralysis, the thought of not being able to move your own body is a terrifying one. From personal experience, it is an agonising few minutes of partial sleep - being cognitively aware of your surroundings however momentarily stricken by a frightening inability to move, all the while sensing an ominous presence in the room.
For those living with CP, this is a waking nightmare. A lifelong condition which effects every aspect of movement and base neurological control. Those with CP (over 40,000 in Australia) have the simple freedom of movement taken from them before birth.
Whilst this page’s aim is to raise funds to support the research of CP and to assist find a potential cure - it is also designed to acknowledge the families who often suffer alongside loved ones, and who continue to suffer in some tragic cases when the battle is lost.

15km a week for 10 weeks isn’t much for a seasoned runner, however it is an impossibility for someone living with CP. Take a few steps for those who can’t, and join me this summer. Run, walk or crawl the 15km a week.

Track my progress on Strava.
Cheers
