Nic & Danny Take on the TCS Sydney Marathon 10km - Proving anything is POSSIBLE!
Hi there!
We are mates, Danny & Nic, and together, we're taking part in this year's TCS Sydney Marathon 10km on Sunday 15 September 2024 - https://sydneymarathon.com/marathon10km/
Our goal is to raise funds and awareness for people living with cerebral palsy (CP). CP is the most common physical disability in childhood, affecting a baby born every day. Together we can let people know that with the right support, anything is possible. A few years ago, Nic reached the summit of Mount Kosciuszko in his wheelchair and this time, he plans to train hard and actually WALK across the start and finish line – GO NIC!
Danny thought of the idea when he saw a video of a man and his son with CP competing in an Ironman challenge: "I wanted to help Nic compete in an event like that." Nic then decided he didn't just want to be pushed and wanted to take part somehow.
We want to show people that when you put your mind to something, like Nic walking a few steps, that with training and support, you can achieve your goals.
We are getting active to support those with cerebral palsy!
We are pumped to be getting active and supporting the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
We want to make a real difference to the lives of young people and adults with cerebral palsy so please help us raise as much as possible.
